SACRAMENTO – The California Department of Fish and Wildlife , through a private vendor , stocked 800 pounds each of channel catfish in Howe Avenue Park , Hagan Park and Mather Lake just prior to the July Fourth weekend . Ponds are stocked with channel catfish ( April - October ) and rainbow trout ( November - March ).
