Adventures confirmed the solid trout fishing at Englebright . He reported catching a limit of 14 to 17 inch rainbows while trolling and tossing out Power Eggs on his latest trip there . “ I trolled in the top 20 feet of water in middle of the lake with kokanee gear , silver / blue Kastmasters and Cripplures ,” he added . Englebright is holding 68,090 acre feet of water , 97 percent of capacity and 103 percent of average .

Trout Plants Will Begin In Late October
OREGON HOUSE - Few anglers have been targeting trout , bass , and catfish at Collins Lake in the late summer heat , but that will all change the week of October 24 when the first plant of the fall will go into Collins . 2,000 pounds of rainbow and lightning trout are scheduled to go into the reservoir on October 28 . After that , the resort will be planting trout every week . The trout can be caught by bank fishermen throwing out spoons , spinners , Power Bait and nightcrawlers and by boaters trolling with flies , plastic grubs , spinners , spoons and other lures as the water temperatures cool . Over the past few weeks , the few anglers going out have concentrated on channel catfish and bluegill . Anglers can catch the channel cats on mackerel , shrimp ,

Rainbows Challenge Trollers , Bank Anglers
PORTOLA – Although fishing pressure has been light at Lake Davis during the recent hot weather , anglers are still catching some quality rainbow trout . The fishing should improve as we enter a period of cooler weather . “ The fishing has been slow for trout at Davis lately ,” said Ed Dillard of Dillard ’ s Guided Fishing . “ A friend did catch four rainbows yesterday and four fish today while trolling nightcrawlers behind flashers at 12 to 22 feet deep . He fished from Honker Cove towards the dam . The fish average from 16 to 22 inches long .” The boat dock at Honker Cove is now in the water , thanks to the U . S .
