On February 20 of this year , Nathaniel Hilligoss caught the new state record spotted bass weighing 11 pounds , 5 ounces , at Bullards Bar while using a lure , according to the updated CDFW list of angling records . The fish measured 25 inches long and 21 inches in girth .

The new state record is also one ounce larger than previous state record and all tackle International Game Fish Association ( IGFA ) world record for spotted bass caught on February 12 , 2017 at Bullards Bar by Nick Dulleck That fish measured 24-1 / 4 inches long and had a girth of 20-3 / 4 inches . Trout Plants Have Begun !

OREGON HOUSE – The trout planted season has begun at Collins Lake with the first plant of 2,000 pounds going into the lake on Friday , October 28 . Weekly plants will continue through Thanksgiving and regular plants through May 2023 .
