Santa Cruz the fishing was excellent as well . They reported reported topnotch rockfish action with limits to half limits everyday the last several trips . They are also seeing some cabezon , lingcod and the occasional halibut .


 June 30th 
 The fishing is still going strong for the halibut on the beaches from Capitola to Pajaro . The rock fishing has been great on the local reefs . The wind was clam and the swell is small .
 The majority of the anglers are catching halibut in 40-60 feet from Capitola to Pajaro . The halibut limit is now 2 per person per day . There were some bigger halibut caught near South Rock . The rock fishing has
been best on the local rock piles . The water is still cold up the coast but there have been some good scores of rock fish there . The shore anglers are still doing well on striped bass . The halibut fishing for the surf anglers has not gone crazy like last year yet ! The winds were calm and the swell is small .

in shallower water with swim baits . The rock fishing was good up the coast near Wilder Beach . The striped bass fishing is good on the beaches south of Manresa . The shore anglers are catching some halibut on the drop shot fuke rig .
