BODEGA BAY … Rockfish and lingcod bite still remains wide-open . The standard rockfish baits are working like shrimp flies tipped with squid , soft plastics , and jigs .
DAVIS LAKE … Cooler water
4 . temperatures has led to the trout bite turning on . Anglers are catching fish while trolling and fishing from the bank . Baby Simon and Dick Nick Spoons are working well for trollers while bank anglers are having success while using PowerBait and worms .
GOOD BETS …

LOS VAQUEROS … Boaters are chasing striper boils and tossing lures in the boils and catching quality striped bass . Soaking anchovies and tossing lures has also been productive for bank anglers as well .
LAKE TAHOE … Trollers and those
6 . jigging spoons are catching plenty of mackinaw to 6lbs . Cooler water temperatures should kickoff the rainbow and brown trout bite for anglers trolling shallow in the 15-60ft range .
CALIFORNIA DELTA … Lure tossers
7 . and trollers are having to work a little harder to find the fish but those willing to put in the time are putting in good numbers of stripers on the boat .
SF BAY … Striped bass and halibut
8 . fishing continues to be really good for anglers drifting live anchovies . If you want to try something different find the birds diving and throw swimbaits and spoons .

AMERICAN RIVER … Bank anglers and boaters are landing quality steelhead while tossing plugs , spoons , and spinners . Fishing is expected to get even better in the coming weeks .
FEATHER RIVER … Most anglers
10 . don ’ t start fishing the Feather River for stripers until the spring during the striper spawn but good numbers of stripers have moved into the Feather . Casting lures and trolling has been the ticket to put quality stripers in the box .
CENTRAL COAST … Anglers
11 . fishing the surf of the Central Coast are starting to put up good numbers of striped bass . Casting spoons and jerkbaits seem to be the most consistent lures for a chance to hook a striper .
DON PEDRO … Big tout to almost 5
12 . pounds are being caught by trollers trolling spoons in from 55 to 90 feet deep .
