minnows…
Live minnows are a staple of Sacramento
River spring striper anglers and Kittle’s has
an outstanding supply and the gear needed
to keep them healthy. They must sell many
thousands of them every spring. I would
guess that Kittles sells the most minnows
of any Norcal tackle shop with the possible
exception of a shop or two at Clear Lake.
The bottom line is that Kittle’s is your
reliable source for quality live minnows and
shiners.
If feeding the bass
live minnows isn’t
your style, the fishing
department features
a complete line of
trolling lures, topwater
plugs, swimbaits,
spoons and of course
large black plastic
worms. If there is one
iconic bait for anglers
that ply up river bass it’s the deadly “Black
Plastic Worm”!

Colusa or you can shop online by visiting

The New Colusa Boat Launching Facility
The brand-new City Of Colusa Boat
Launching Facility on the Sacramento River
opened on December 28!
Colusa is a hub of fishing and hunting in
the Sacramento Valley, so it’s only appro-
priate that the City of Colusa now features a
long overdue state of the art boat launching
facility.
With the ramp and docks in place, more
amenities are planned and/or underway
including landscaping and a fish cleaning
station.
Pat Kittle of Kittle’s Outdoor and Sport
Co. is one of the folks in the Colusa
community that strongly supported
and helped push forward this
project that will benefit hunters,
anglers and recreational boaters as well
as the larger Colusa community.
Call Rustic Rob’s Guide Service &
Hook Up With Spring Stripers!
have fished the Sacramento, Feather
and Yuba Rivers for over three decades.
Giving me the fish catching experience that
there’s no substitute for. Although river
fishing is my first love, I do enjoy some lake
fishing. I do guide on some lakes to fill in
the holes between seasons on the river.
My friends and relatives had told me
for years before I got my guides license, I
should. Being amazed at the enjoyment I get
from watching someone else catching fish,
as well as helping him or her to become a
better fisherman. Not satisfied just being on
the cutting edge, but creating tomorrow’s
next best thing.
Your day with me will be from the time
we start until we limit out the boat or you
say it’s time to go home. So come spend
the day with me and let’s create some hand
shaking, high fiving, life long friendships
and memories...
Your day with me will start most
commonly before daylight. We’ll meet at the
most convenient place for everyone which
most likely will be at the boat ramp where
we’ll launch, or at the local bait shop. No
matter what time we start your day with me
will be from the time we start until we limit
out or you say it’s time to go home!
Unlike most guides, my boat has a wind-
shield a top and a heater for your comfort.
The weather will predict whether or not I
have the top up.
I will supply everything you will need for
fishing; boat, rods & reels, all bait and tackle
an ice chest for cold drinks.
You will need a valid California fishing
license, a steelhead report card if we are
fishing for steelhead, Sturgeon report card if
we’re fishing for sturgeon as well as Striper,
a two rod stamp is optional.
Dress for cold weather; remember it’s
always colder on the water than it is at home.
It’s best to dress in layers because as cold as
it is in the morning it gets pretty warm in the
afternoon.
The sun’s reflection off the water is pretty
strong so remember the
sunscreen as well as
insect repellent. I do
carry some on board
but it’s best to bring
your own.
Pack a lunch,
sandwiches, cold
chicken etc.
Preferably a
lunch you can eat
with one hand
because you’ll be
catching fish with
the other. Bring
some cold drinks;
remember I’ll
have an ice chest
on board.
