Striped bass fishing on the Feather is
best in high water years – and so this
should be a good season on the Feather.
Few anglers have been fishing for
steelhead lately, although fishermen every
spring generally find some good steelie
action while using spinners, spoons,
nightcrawlers, jigs and flies below the

were brought to us by Wild Ops. This is a
great organization that helps war veterans

these guys and we thank them for all they

GRANITE BAY - Trout fishing remains
very good for trollers on Folsom Lake, as
evidenced by the latest trolling adventure
by Jerry Lampkin of TNG Motor Sports
Guide Service. The trip produced 15
holdover rainbow trout.
“We kept 9 fatties out of the 15 landed
today on Folsom,” said Lampkin. “The.

Bank anglers should also find some
solid trout fishing while tossing out
nightcrawlers, minnows and Power Bait

Five Percent, Granite Bay, Browns Ravine

“Folsom Lake bass fishing is just about

“My first striper trip of the season didn’t
produce great fishing, but we did catch
two limits of stripers,” reported Rob

“We landed one fish weighing 12

was just-legal size,” he noted. “I expect
the fishing to pick up when the water
level goes down and the water clears up

the resident trout,” Loe concluded.

The feisty rainbow jumped 3
times as he battled his way in
toward the boat. Finally, John
netted a fat 19 inch rainbow!
The water clarity was very
good, so we stayed between
the dam and Hat Island the rest
of the morning. We ended up
with 6 more rainbows from 15
to 18 inches.
John caught 2 on a water-
