Take A Trip to Shearwater Resort & Experience British Columbia Fishing At Its Best
S
hearwater Resort and Marina, also
known as the ‘Gateway to the Great
Bear Rainforest’, is located on the Central
Coast of British Columbia.
Our strategic location makes Shearwater
the ideal location for Sport Fishing and
eco-tourism. And Shearwater is the central
hub for mariners heading to and from Alaska
or Haida Gwaii via the inside passage.
Our destination has all of the amenities
that you could ever wish for in a wilderness
environment: a two lodge hotel, various pri-
vate accommodations, a 9,000sq ft restaurant
and bar, transient moorage, fuel dock, marine
repair shipyard, groceries, potable water
from an artesian well, liquor outlet, hardware
store, laundromat, showers, boat rentals,
fishing tackle, free WiFi and more!
Great fishing is at our doorstep. We offer
you the chance to take a part in it through
one of our multi-day inclusive packages.
Our packages are designed to meet the
needs of all anglers who wish to tailor their
trip around their own ability and comfort,
that is why we offer fully guided fishing
trips, semi-guided fishing trips, and un-guid-
ed fishing trips. Everyone wants something
specific out of their trip and we are there to
deliver what our fishing guests want.
Your all inclusive fishing adventure to
Shearwater Resort begins at the South Ter-
minal of the Vancouver International Airport.
We are just 1-1/2 hours away on a twin
turbo-prop plane that takes you direct from
Vancouver to Denny Island’s own 3,000 foot
runway, followed by a short bus ride and you
have arrived!
Our salmon fishing lodge location is within
close proximity to numerous fishing grounds.
If the weather is calm we can easily shoot
out to the west coast and open ocean for
some great fishing for halibut and salmon.
If the weather is not very good outside, we
have numerous spots that are within com-
fortable range of the
lodge where guests
can fish for halibut
and all species of
salmon.
Our salmon fishing
charters can produce
spectacular results
with Chinook or
King salmon topping
72 lbs., Coho or
Silver to 25 lbs., and
Halibut to 200 lbs.
Abundant bot-
tom fish are also
available including
Lingcod, Red Snap-
per and Rock Fish.
Whatever you are looking to catch we have
a spot for you and you can choose to do it
yourself or have a guided fishing experience
on the west central coast of BC.
