“When I am
fishing a frog or
flipping matted
vegetation, I
am throwing the
new X-TCB 8
Carrier Braided
Line form P-Line.
It is critical to
be stealthy with
both techniques,
and with P-line’s
new braid, you
can make longer
casts and it is
ultra quiet com-
ing through the
grass.”

HOT BITES...
1.
COLLINS LAKE ‘BOWS… Trout fishing is
underway with fish to 4 lbs showing in the
catches. Bank anglers are tossing out PowerBait
while trollers pull Kastmasters.
2.
DELTA STRIPERS… The striper bite is very
productive and trollers are hooking up to two
dozen fish per day. For bass to 20 lbs., anglers are
pulling minnow plugs in the Sacramento.
3.
MORRO BAY ROCKFISH… Rockfish and
lingcod are on the chomp big time for central
coast anglers. Shrimp flies and jigs are paying heavy
dividends.
4.
CHABOT TROUT… Bank anglers are hooking
some husky rainbow trout. Dough baits, salmon
eggs and inflated worms are doing the damage for
bank anglers.
GOOD BETS…
5.
SAC RIVER KNGS… Monster kings continue
pushing up the Sacramento. Back troll big plugs
early for salmon that average 15 to 25 pounds and
range up to 40.
IT ALL ADDS UP
6.
AMADOR TROUT… Trout planting is underway
and big trout are biting. Power Eggs, grubs and
flies worked behind water bobbers are working for
bankies.
TO MORE FISH IN THE BOAT.
7.
FRENCH MEADOWS BROWNS…The annual
fall brown bite is underway. Both Rapalas and
inflated worms are working during the early morning
and late evening hours.
8.
GOLDEN GATE KINGS… It’s trophy time for
salmon trollers with fish into the high 30 lb. range
showing. Rigged herring and a dose of patience are
the keys to hooking up.
SLEEPERS…
9.
DON PEDRO TROUT… The rainbows are
holding in the top 20 feet and are chasing shad.
To hook the trout, troll Speedy Shiners and minnow
plugs from 2 to 3.5 mph.
10.
BODEGA ROCKFISH… Limit style rockfish
action continues to reward anglers. Metal jigs
teamed with white shrimp fly teasers are working well.
11.
TWIN LAKES RAINBOWS…Twin Lakes are
booting out limits of rainbows to 6 lbs. Trollers
pull Rapalas, while bank anglers soak PowerBait and
worms.
12.
SHASTA RAINBOWS… The rainbows are
scattered, yet persistent trollers are boating
limits to 3 lbs. Work the top 25 feet with shad imitating
spoons for success.
