definitely happy.
Fishing on the Cal Dawn was
a great experience with a very
professional operation. Their
boat is comfortable and their
crew is amazing.
I will tell you this, if it
weren’t for Captain Brian Chan
knowing the area as well as
he does, it could have been a
tough day out there for all of us.
Captain Brian knew when to
make the moves and where to
go. Like I said, fishing was not
wide-open, but we banged out
a fish here and there and ended
up with good numbers for the
day. Thanks to the Mike, the
deckhand, we took advantage of
every hookup that we got and
didn’t lose many fish.

There was a time during the day
when we were motoring from one
spot to another and I was ready for
lunch. Chef Mark put together a
cheeseburger for me that was good
as I’ve had at any restaurant on
land.
What a fantastic trip this was
on so many levels. I had the
opportunity to go down memory
lane, to catch fish in an area where
I learned how to fish, and to fish
on such a great boat and top-notch
crew. I can’t wait to do it again
soon.
