“ Crissy Field is where most of the guys are catching halibut from shore . A few striped bass are coming up too ,” she tipped .

Other anglers took to Ocean Beach for striped bass .

“ The evening bite has picked up for the guys casting Pencil Poppers and jigs from the beach . A few bigger ones came up last weekend ,” she related .

“ Perch fishing is getting good on Ocean Beach too . Try digging up sand crabs and using them or cast out some Kalin ’ s grubs .”

Anglers Enjoy Best Sturgeon Action Of Year !

VALLEJO – “ The sturgeon are really biting on San Pablo Bay Bay now ,” summed up Gordon Hough of Morning Star Sportfishing .

On the latest trip aboard the Morning Star , the 15 anglers landed five keeper sturgeon measuring 43 to 57 inches long . They landed a cpuple of bass also , along with releasing 11 shaker sturgeon and one oversized fish over 7 feet long , according to Hough .
