W
e had some crazy fishing this last week,”
related Jonathan Roldan of Tailhunter Inter-
national. “Actually, some of the best we’ve had in
years if you were looking for dorado. I knew it had to
happen eventually. All the signs were there. The wa-
ter, the temps, the sargasso weeds and the bait… And
boom the bite went off last week and it was like the
great dorado fishing of the past that La Paz is famous
for.”

“There were a few bumps here-and-
there, but for the most part it was the kind
of wild dorado bite we’ve been waiting to
happen. It really was like “back in the old
days!” We probably have not seen this kind
of bite in about 3 years and surely, it was
our best week of the year in terms of quan-
tity and quality,” Roldan asserted.

We honestly did have boats back early
on several occasions in time to eat lunch
back at the hotels. I don’t know if this will
keep up. I hope so. We’ve been waiting a
long time for this to come back,” Roldan
