“Our net pen operation is fully
operational for 2018,” said Lincoln
Young of Collins Lake Resort. “This
year has 12 pens of trout (4 of them
are Eagle Lake trout). Weight will
range from 1-1/2 lb to 2-1/2 lb. Net
pens are a cooperative effort of
Collins Lake, DFW, Kokanee Power
and CIFFI.”
Anglers now are not catching huge
numbers of fish, but those being
hooked are mostly in the 3 to 5 lb.
Shore anglers are hooking the fish on
worms and PowerBait, while boaters
are catching the fish by trolling with
Speedy Shiners and other lures.
