I just had that experience when I picked up a Scotty Bait Board .
I ’ ve been cutting bait , arranging lures for use and stowing knives and pliers for years , so I pretty much had all those challenges covered . Yet when I first saw Scotty ’ s Bait Board , basically a bait board designed to fit in a Scotty mount , I thought , “ why not ”?
Now that I ’ ve had the board mounted in my Duckworth for a month or so , I honestly don ’ t know how I got along without it . I now view the board as a true luxury item .

I ’ ve used the board extensively while trolling for trout . That ’ s where I lay my spoons , plugs and dodgers , both the ones I ’ m about to try and the ones I ’ ve fired because they aren ’ t hooking fish .
I ’ ve tried hanging lures through the small holes around the edges of the board and they stay where I put them even when running at full speed . My plies and scissors stay in place as well .
