2018 East Cape Bisbee’s Fishing Tournament
Held At Hotel Buena Vista Beach Resort
“
W
e had a great time hosting the 2018
Eastcape Bisbee’s fishing tour-
nament,” reported Luis Fraijo of the Hotel
Buena Vista Beach Resort.
“We started with 61 teams from all over the
world. First place went to the team Booze
Brothers aboard the Reel Machine with a
black marlin weighting 538 lb. The angler
was Steve McCoy.”
“Team Feeling Azul from San Jose del
Cabo Baja México brought in the 2nd
heaviest billfish of the day but was not
enough to make it thru the daily jackpots
but still managed to make some money
thanks to a 481 lb black marlin. Second
place went to team Sporty Game with a
370 lb blue marlin caught by angler Jacob
Rodriguez. Team Wild Hooker took the
third spot with a 393 lb black marlin,”
said Fraijo.
“The biggest dorado caught during the
event went 50 lbs, while the biggest tuna
weighed in at 102. Congratulations go out
to all the teams that turned out for a fun
and safe tournament on the rich waters of
the Sea of Cortez,” Fraijo exclaimed
