“When I am
fishing a frog or
flipping matted
vegetation, I
am throwing the
new X-TCB 8
Carrier Braided
Line form P-Line.
It is critical to
be stealthy with
both techniques,
and with P-line’s
new braid, you
can make longer
casts and it is
ultra quiet com-
ing through the
grass.”

HOT BITES...
1.
SACRAMENTO RIVER KINGS… Late fall run
king salmon are spread throughout the river. Fish
to 40 lbs are hitting Flatfish, spinners and roe
2.
SUISUN BAY STURGEON… Keeper sturgeon
are on the bite. Roe is the best bait, but eel is
also working for anglers working deep water areas.
3.
GOLDEN GATE COMBOS… Private boaters
and charter boaters are scoring easy limits of
crab, rockfish and lingcod. For lings, mooch large
frozen baits just off the bottom.
4.
PYRAMID TROUT… If you want big trout head
to Pyramid. Double digit ‘cutts to 20 lbs are
grabbing spoons, jigs, plugs and flies.
GOOD BETS…
5.
AMADOR TROUT … Cooling water
temperatures have the trout on the feed. Bank
anglers are hooking up with Power Eggs, while
boaters employ grubs and flies.
IT ALL ADDS UP
6.
TAHOE MACKS… Limit style mackinaw fishing
is on tap for fish ranging 3 to 6 lbs. To hook up
troll rigged minnows teamed with blades 100 to 220
feet deep.
7.
TO MORE FISH IN THE BOAT.
DELTA STRIPERS… Bait enthusiasts and
trollers are catching stripers in the 4 to 20 lb.
class. Yo-Zuri’s work for trollers, while shad produces
results for the bait crowd.
8.
BODEGA ROCKFISH… Big rockfish are
rewarding both private boaters and charter boat
enthusiasts. Red and yellow shrimp flies tipped with
squid tempt limits.
SLEEPERS…
9.
CLEAR LAKE BASS… Good bass action is
underway for fish to 6 lbs. Some anglers are
using large shiners, while other toss soft plastics and
swimbaits.
10.
SANTA CRUZ ROCKFISH… Consistent
limits of quality rockfish are the rule for central
coast anglers. Shrimp flies adorned with squid strips
do the damage.
11.
EAGLE LK. TROUT… Rainbows to 5 lbs. are
on a solid trolling bite. To hook up pull Speedy
Shiners in shallow water from 2.5 to 3 miles per hour.
12.
COLLINS LAKE ‘BOWS… Trollers and bait
anglers are scoring consistent limits of trout.
Kastmasters and Rapalas work for trollers, while bank
anglers toss dough baits.

ROGUE RIVER STEELHEAD…
Steelheading will get started on the Rogue
in December and peak in January depending on the
conditions. Roe will produce trophies.
14.
LOWER OWENS TROUT…If you like fly
fishing and solitude pay the Owens a visit in
January. Streamers and nymphs produce strikes all

more sensitive, improved knot strength,
stronger, and unmatched abrasion resistance.
15.
SOUTH BAY STURGEON… In December

South Bay and this sparks the sturgeon action. Soak
shrimp and herring baits for success.
P-LINE X-BRAID

longer casts, vibration reduction and a near
zero stretch factor for unparalleled power.
AMERICAN RIVER STEELHEAD…
