For more information, call (916) 768- 0938. Cal Kellogg was trolling one of his signature series Trout Grubs 100 feet deep at Lake Shasta when he hooked this impressive rainbow trout. The fish was 24.5 inches long and weighed over 4 pounds. At this point trout fishing at Shasta is fair to good as the lake’s rainbows slowly transition from a summer to a fall pattern. As the fall progresses and the water temperature drops, the trout will scatter and move to the surface.
