arlin fishing is still very good at the Lighthouse, pitching
live bait, lures and drifting baits at about 160ft. We caught
2 marlin on Tuesday, 1 on Wednesday, 6 on Thursday and 12 on
Saturday,” said Jerry Chapman of JC Sportfishing.
“Dorado fishing very good, most fish from 12lbs to 16lbs on
lures, live bait is getting the bigger fish and ballyhoo. We caught 18
dorado on Tuesday, 21 on Wednesday, 32 on Thursday, 8 on Friday
and 2 on Saturday,” Chapman reported.
“Tuna are tough to find, the schools are scattered out due to the
commercial seiners, we have an okay day here and there, just not
great and the tuna are small football size fish. We catch them on
cedar plugs and hoochies.
There have been a few reports of a few big ones on the yachts,
but they are going 40 miles or more off shore. We caught 14 tuna
and 2 skipjack on Tuesday, 9 on Wednesday and one on Thursday,”
Chapman said.
