HOT BITES...

CAMANCHE RAINBOWS… Limits and
near limits of rainbow trout to 6 lbs have been
common. Bank anglers are using dough bait while
trollers pull grubs, Trigger Spoons and Speedy
Shiners.

CLEAR LAKE BASS… The minnow bite is
on for largemouth bass to 5 lbs. The most
consistent action comes when working deep water
areas. Crappie are active too.
3.
SUISUN BAY STURGEON… Big numbers of
sturgeon are stacked up in Suisun Bay. Salmon
roe is the top bait, but shrimp, eel and pile worms
work too.

TAHOE MACKS… Deep water trollers are
scoring easy limits of mackinaw to 7 lbs. Rigged
minnows are the top offering, but small plugs and
spoons work too.

to and beyond 10 lbs are being landed. Trollers
are running Berkley Power Grubs, bank bait soakers

SANTA CRUZ PERCH… Perch to 2 pounds are
being landed by beach anglers. Gulp! Worms
are working, as are shrimp baits and pile worms.

CHABOT TROUT… Bank anglers are nailing
limits of rainbows to 3.5 lbs. PowerBait is the
best choice, but lures like Kastmasters and Cripplures
work too.

AMERICAN RIVER STEELHEAD… Steelhead
to 9 pounds are being hooked by anglers. Roe
is the top bait, but spoons, spinners and flies work too
for persistent river anglers.

COLLINS LAKE TROUT … Trouters are
hooking up while fishing from the bank.
PowerBait and inflated worms are the most consistent
baits to use.

SOUTH S.F. BAY PERCH… There have
been some reports of surfperch moving into
the South Bay for the spawn. Shrimp baits, mussels
and pile worms are the way to go.

PYRAMID TROUT … Fly tossers, lure
casters and trollers are fighting cutthroats to
14 lbs. Offerings that are purple, olive green or orange
are all working.
