SUISUN BAY STURGEON… The sturgeon bite
has been very consistent in water less than 20
feet deep. Eel has been the best bait, but roe works
too.
2.
FOLSOM KINGS… The king bite is on at
Folsom. Trollers are hooking salmon up to 22
inches with Speedy Shiner spoons and smelt pattern
Rapalas.
3.
SHASTA LAKE BASS… The spotted bass are
suspended and big numbers of fish to 2 lbs are
possible. Both spoons and drop shot rigs are tempting
the spots.

PACIFICA PERCH… Beach anglers are
hooking surfperch. Bait in the form of pile worms
and bloodworms have been outperforming grubs.

SHADOW CLIFFS ‘BOWS… Shore anglers are
loading up on rainbows while fishing near the
boat ramp. PowerBait and Power Eggs have been
the top offerings.

PYRAMID ‘CUTTS… Fly anglers are hooking
trout up to and beyond the 15 lb. mark. Purple
and olive Woolly Buggers are scoring well, as are
beetle imitations.

BULLARDS BAR BASS… Anglers that make
the trip to Bullards are hooking spotted bass to 6
lbs. Senkos, spoons and swimbaits are pulling fish off
main lake points.

SOUTH BAY HALIBUT… The bite isn’t hot, but
the first halibut of the year have been caught by
South Bay trollers. Pull rigged anchovies for fish to 7
lbs.
SLEEPERS…
Available in 6-20lb. Test ~ 200 yard spools.

TAHOE MACKS… Limits of mackinaw up 14 lbs
are the rule. Trollers are working in 100 to 250
feet of water with rigged minnows and small spoons.

FORT BRAGG CRAB… Private boaters and

water has been most productive and poultry has been
the best bait.
