“When I am
fishing a frog or
flipping matted
vegetation, I
am throwing the
new X-TCB 8
Carrier Braided
Line form P-Line.
It is critical to
be stealthy with
both techniques,
and with P-line’s
new braid, you
can make longer
casts and it is
ultra quiet coming
through the
grass.”

as an angler, success depends on the tactical decisions MADE long before
you get to the water. You need every possible advantage to
compete with the serious anglers of today. that BEGINS with your line.
HOT BITES...
WHISKEYTOWN ‘KOKES… Kokanee to 17
1. inches are biting well. Apex Lures and Wiggle
Hoochies teamed with Sling Blades do the damage.
DELTA STRIPERS… Trollers are hooking
2. stripers that range up to 10 pounds. Yo-Zuri
shallow and deep runners have been the ticket.
MARIN COAST SALMON… Anglers trolling off
3. the San Mateo Coast are boating limits and near
limits of kings to 14 pounds. Rigged bait works best.
AMERICAN RIVER TROUT … Rainbows and
4. browns are on a good bite in both the middle and
south forks. Worms, Panther Martins and Muddler
Minnows are all working.
GOOD BETS…
DON PEDRO RAINBOWS… The rainbows are
5. holding from the surface to 40 feet deep and they
are hungry. For a limit of ‘bows to 3 lbs, troll rigged
shad or shad pattern spoons.
BODEGA KINGS… Overall the salmon bite is
6. slow off the Sonoma Coast, but there are fish
to 20 pounds being caught. Tray bait anchovies and
Apex lures work best.
PARDEE CATS… Big whiskerfish are on the
7. prowl. For catfish to 7 lbs anglers are using
mackerel, night crawlers and chicken liver during the
evening hours.
ROGUE SPRINGERS… Springers are spread
8. throughout the lower river. Anglers are hooking
up while trolling frozen anchovies teamed with spinner
blades.

and flies are all drawing strikes.
