It’s shad time on the American,
Sacramento, Feather and Yuba rivers.
The spring run of American shad is
moving up all four rivers during the
annual spawning run. Anglers are
hooking and releasing hard-battling
shad while using darts, shad jigs and
flies. Paul Vang shows off two shad
that he landed while using a small shad
jig on the American River on Memorial
Day 2020.
