The CDFW planted 4,000 pounds of 1 lb . rainbows and 10,000 subcatchable rainbows into Davis on November 15 , Lake Davis is holding 41,664-acre feet of water , 52 percent of capacity and 81 percent of average .

4004 bicycle bridge to Highway 70 bridge opened with excellent fishing on January 1 .

Craig Bentley of Oroville went to the Feather River below the fish hatchery on opening day and saw at least a dozen fish caught from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm . The water temperature was 48 ° and air temperature was 31 °. “ I canvassed 18 anglers , 11 of which were fly fishing , 3 fishing spinning gear and 4 float fishing ,” said Bentley . “ Everyone caught fish .
