AMERICAN RIVER … Fresh spring and downrunner steelhead can be caught while using jigs and soft beads under bobbers . Night crawlers and roe are also producing some nice fish .

7 . continues to be really good at Clear Lake . The bass bite has been inconsistent but with warmer weather it should bust loose soon .
LAKE AMADOR … Lake Amador
8 . is kicking out monster Cutbow and Amador Golds . PowerBait , Kastmasters , and nightcrawlers are the best baits for bank anglers .
NEW MELONES … The bass
9 . are in pre-spawn mode and can be caught using soft plastics and swimbaits . Most fish are being caught in the 10ft to 40ft range .
BULLARDS BAR … Kokanee
10 . salmon in the 10 to 11 inch range are being caught both shallow and deep while trolling hoochies , tipped with white corn , behind dodgers .

CENTRAL COAST … Quality size surf perch are on the chew . Carolina rigs with small plastic baits and jerk baits are the ticket for surf anglers .
SAN FRANCISCO BAY …
12 . Trollers are picking up good numbers of halibut . Try trolling in about 20 feet of water while using anchovies or herring .
SACRAMENTO RIVER …
13 . The spring striper run is at the beginning stages in the Sacramento River . The fish are showing up and the anglers who are willing to put in time are catching some nice fish .
