The kokanee bite is on fire on Bullards Bar . These two anglers were fishing in 70-85 feet of water near the dam when they landed these nice fish .

Limits of Rainbows and Kokanee Reward Summer Trollers

IONE – If you like to catch a five fish limit of trout and a ten fish limit of kokanee salmon , then Lake Pardee is the place for you .

“ On my last two trips to Pardee , one angler each day landed is limit of five trout and kokanee ,” reported Robbie Dunham of Koke Machine Guide Service . “ The kokanee ranged from 10 to 13-12 inches and the trout from 1-1 / 2 to 3 pounds .” “ The trout hit Speedy Shiners at 30 to 40 feet deep . The fish were scattered all over the lake . No one spot was great – we had to move around . to find the fish ,” he noted . Dunham said they caught the kokanee from 85 to 100 feet deep on micro spinner hoochies , mostly in pink , up the river arm . “ I ’ m seeing 12 to 15 boats per day on the lake ,” : he noted . “ Most anglers are targeting kokanee at this time .” “ The surface water surface temperature 73 to 75 degrees ,” he added . “ We are getting more lightning trout than rainbows now . One trip produced four lightning trout and one rainbow and the other yielded two lightning and three rainbow trout ,” he stated . Pardee Lake is now holding 196,520 acre feet of water , 96 percent of capacity and 101 percent of average . At Lake Camanche , Dunham said he is getting limits of rainbow trout from 30 to 50 feet over the river channel . He ’ s been using Speedy Shiners in four or five colors . “ The color doesn ’ t matter – it ’ s getting lure down in the fish ’ s face ,” he observed . His latest trolling adventure on Camanche produced limits of rainbows for two anglers .
