The top depth has been 35 feet .” Trollers are still getting rainbow trout while working the area with nightcrawlers behind flashers or dodgers from the houseboats to the dam , he added . Englebright is holding 67,756 acre feet of water , 97 percent of capacity and 103 percent of average .

Catfish , Trout , Bass and Bluegill Reward Anglers
OREGON HOUSE - Fishing reports have been few and far between at Collins Lake lately , but dedicated anglers are still catching a few rainbow trout , along with channel catfish , black bass and bluegill .. Big fish honors go to The Gomez family of Rohnert Park , who teamed up to catch an 8 pound catfish by the dam off the bank . The catfish fell for a worm and

The Wright family of Palermo reported catching a couple of trout while fishing PowerBait from a boat at 30 feet deep near the dam . Suzette Legardy also reeled in a beautiful 7 lb ., 6 oz . rainbow trout while fishing with a gold Kastmaster at Collins . Kids are also having fun catching bluegill on nightcrawlers off the dock by the deep area off Road 8 . The lake is 28 feet from full and the surface water temperature is now 77 degrees .

Anglers Battle Quality Rainbows and Largemouth Bass
PORTOLA – It may be July , but the trout fishing has actually improved at Lake Davis , Jim Graham of the J & J Grizzly Store and Campground Resort revealed . “ Trollers are doing the best fishing 3 to 4 feet off the weedbeds towards the center of the lake from Mallard to Lightning Tree ,” said Graham . “ The fish are mostly hitting down at 6 to 8 feet . When you pull the lures through there , the fish really nab it .” He said anglers are experiencing the top action while trolling with Dick Nites in copper / redhead and Baby Simons in orange , blue or red dot frog . The fish average around 18 to 22 inches long . “ Bank fishermen are also doing really well while fishing worms or rainbow garlic PowerBait ,” he tipped . “ The best area is off Mallard down 6 to 8 feet deep . The trout are feeding on snails , blood midges and dragon flies . Fishing is best early in the morning and in the early afternoons .” The biggest bass caught lately
