Granite Bay , Folsom Point , Rattlesnake Bar and the main ramp at Brown ’ s Ravine are in operation , according to the Folsom Lake Marina . There is a large amount of debris over the entire lake and boaters need to use caution while boating . State Parks has hired a contractor to remove the debris , but this will be a many month process . The lake will need to reach its highest level and then drop a few feet before the lake will be clear . Folsom Lake is holding 752,583 acre feet of water , 77 percent of capacity and 107 percent of average . The lake level is 444 feet in elevation , 22 feet from full . Inflow into the lake is 7,586 cfs and outflow is 11,569 cfs .

LIVERMORE – Rainbow trout and striped bass offer the most consistent fishing at Los Vaqueros Reservoir . “ Shore fishing has been best for the trout near the marina – the rental boats haven ’ t had much luck lately ,” reported Gene Nunes at the Los Vaquero Marina . “ Most of the

was caught by a woman fishing an anchovy on 4 lb . test line from shore in the South Cove .” The biggest fish of any kind caught at Los Vaqueros this year to date was the 24.86-pound cat caught by Yekam El Nakar in the south cove at Los Vaqueros . He was using white worms and nightcrawlers when he hooked the monster cat . The water temperature at Los Vaqueros is currently 53 degrees and the water level is 107,000 acre-feet as of April 24 . The water clarity has been good

Black Bass Fishing Turns On

OROVILLE – While the king salmon fishing remains slow at Lake Oroville , the black bass bite is heating up . “ Lake Oroville is definitely starting to turn on ,” reported Dave Koistenen on the Lake Oroville Facebook Page on April 24 . “ Today we started with a tube bait then got on a crankbait bite Myself and a buddy boated around 90 fish , with the biggest going 3.2 lbs . The fish were fat and hit at 10 to 15 ft . deep . The water temperature was 58 to 62 degrees .” Brent Steele confirmed the improving bass fishing . “ I had a great and very fun afternoon yesterday landing 23 fish total ,” said Steele . “ Every single fish was caught on Wacky Rgs in about 15 ’ - 25 ’ of water near submerged trees in the south fork .” “ Multiple fish were caught in the same spot around a tree in about 20 ’ of water . It ’ s cool watching the fish dart towards your bait on livescope and seeing the ones that just go up to it to check out what it is ,” he added . The Bidwell Canyon , Spillway , Loafer Creek , Lime Saddle and Enterprise boat ramps are all open to launching , according to the Lake Oroville State Recreation Area . Lake Oroville is holding 3,197,678 acre feet of water , 90 percent of capacity and 118 percent of average . Outflows from the lake are 15,577 cfs and inflows into the lake are 19,920 cfs .
