Trollers Reel In Kokanee Limits

DOBBINS – Boaters are bagging 10-fish limits of kokanee salmon while trolling flies , hoochies and spinners , tipped with white corn , behind dodgers at Bullards Bar Reservoir . Brett Brady of Bare Bones Guide Service reported “ wide-open ” fishing for kokanee on his most recent trolling adventures at Bullards Bar . “ The fish are hitting pink and orange hoochies and Arctic Fox trolling flies around 35 feet deep ,” said Brady . “ The lake is full , the ramps are open and the water skiers are out on the weekends .” The fish are showing all over at the lake , including Dark Day , Garden Point , Willow Creek and the dam . The fish range from 10-1 / 2 inches to 12 inches long . Bullards Bar is holding 953,027 acre-feet of water , 99 percent of capacity and 113 percent of average . Few anglers are fishing at Englebright Reservoir for trout . Anglers should troll with Rapalas , Needlefish , Cripplures and nightcrawlers behind dodgers for the scrappy rainbows . Englebright is holding 72,108 acre feet of water , 103 percent of capacity and 108 percent of average .

Troll Deep For Trout Limits

BURSON – The trout fishing at Lake Camanche continues to be very productive for anglers trolling or bait fishing in deep water . “ Today I had Johnnie , Karen , and their son , the birthday boy Cody , out on Lake Camanche for some Lassen rainbow trout fishing and it didn ’ t disappoint ,” reported Nate Kelsch of Big Nate ’ s Guide Service after his most recent trip . “ Johnnie and Cody scored limits of gorgeous rainbows , and had 8 or 9 pop off in the process .” “ The lake is rising fast , and temperatures seem to have leveled

Early Summer Brings on the Bass

OREGON HOUSE - With daytime surface temperatures up above 75 ° F trout have taken a deep dive and bass were back in action . Vasiliy Zbyshko of Fair Oaks caught a number of a bass including these three caught trolling , using dropshots as well as Texas rigs : Giovanni Gomez brought in his two and a quarter pound bass using PowerBait .
