Anglers are trolling up limits while using Sep’s Grubs, trolling flies and orange spoons. 2. SF BAY HALIBUT… California halibut are on a hot bite inside the confines of San Francisco Bay. Charter boaters hook up with live anchovies, while most private boaters pull frozen bait. 3. CAPLES RAINBOWS… Rainbow trout are on a great early summer bite. For fish to 20 inches troll small Rapalas or soak inflated ‘crawlers off the bank. 4. TAHOE MACKINAW… Mackinaw to 14 lbs. are being landed by trollers. Minnows teamed with dodgers have been doing the damage when trolled from 110 to 225 feet deep. GOOD BETS… 5. DELTA STRIPERS… You can troll, jig, plug or soak bait on either the Sacramento or San Joaquin side for limits of bass. The average fish go 5 to 9, but fish well over 30 lbs. have been reported. IT ALL ADDS UP 6. FOLSOM BASS… The spring bass bite is finally on and anglers are nailing lots of spots and hefty largemouths to 4 lbs. Senkos and finesse worms are the best offerings. GOLDEN GATE KINGS… The salmon bite ranges from good to red hot. For limits of kings to 20 lbs anglers are pulling rigged tray bait anchovies from the top to 40 feet deep. 10. BODEGA ROCKFISH… Red hot rockfish action is on tap at Point Reyes and there are plenty of lings being caught too. Shrimp flies yield quick limits, swimbaits tempt the lings. 11. DON PEDRO COMBOS…TTrollers are scoring rainbows that run up to 20 inches and kokanee as large as 2 lbs. The fish are scattered from the surface to 40 feet deep and are hitting a variety of offerings. Bank anglers are scoring early and late, trollers are working 20 to 40 feet deep in the main body. COMING SOON... 13. Mackerel, liver and night crawlers are the best baits for whiskerfish.
