WHISKEYTOWN KOKANEE… Near limits of kokanee in the 14 to 17 inch class are coming out of Whiskeytown. Pink lures trolled 50 to 60 feet deep are the ticket. 3. SAC RIVER SALMON… The season is open and big 15 to 25 lb kings are being caught. Plugs work early and roe works throughout the day. 4. FOLSOM CATS … Heavy catfish are on the prowl. Use mackerel fillets, liver or crawfish tails early and late in the day to hook fish up to 10 lbs. GOOD BETS… 5. BUCKS LAKE TROUT … Rainbows to 18 inches are biting well and there are kokanee available too. Dick Nite Spoons and threaded night crawlers are working best. IT ALL ADDS UP 6. BODEGA COMBOS… King salmon and big lingcod are providing thrills. Troll rigged bait for the kings and drop metal jigs and plastic swimbaits for the bottomfish. TO MORE FISH IN THE BOAT. 7. FRENCH MEADOWS TROUT… The lake level is down, but the trout are on the feed. Bank anglers are hooking limits of rainbows with PowerBait and inflated ‘crawlers. 8. LAKE DEL VALLE STRIPERS… Late summer striped bass are on the bite at Del Valle. Trollers pull rigged anchovies and plugs while bank anglers soak cut anchovies. SLEEPERS… 9. BERRYESSA ‘KOKES… Anglers are hooking kokanee to 17 inches. For success pull corn tipped spinners and hoochies in the narrows, near the dam and off the Farm House. 10. HALF MOON ROCKFISH… The coastal rockfish bite for anglers departing from Pillar Point has been very good. Shrimp flies are procuring limits along with the occasional lingcod. 11. ROGUE RIVER KINGS… Fall run kings are starting to arrive at the mouth. Anglers are hooking fish to 30 lbs on rigged anchovies near the 101 Bridge.
