Captain Joey Gallia has been putting
the New Easy Rider’s anglers on a steady
parade of quality king salmon. Every
recent trip has feature from 1.5 fish per

average around 8 and range up into the

On October 9, the New Easy Rider
boxed 9 limits to 15 pounds. Two days
later they rounded up 18 kings to 12

“On the bird trip offshore, I didn’t notice
a temperature break, but I wouldn’t be
surprised if there aren’t bluefin tuna out
there since they don’t need the cobalt
blue water. No one is trying for them right
now, but in the past few years, this has
been the time when the private boats
have been out for bluefin. The upcoming
crab season has generated a lot of
interest, and we are filled on our first two
weekends of the season although there
is plenty of room during the week. I do
expect it to get busy during the first two
weeks as the commercial season will
open two weeks after the recreational
opener on November 3rd,: said Powers.
The private boaters have been less
in number over the past weeks despite

conditions, but the
