Bodega Bay
cont.
Bird Rock, and Elephant Rock.
Captain Eric Holthouse of North Bay
Charters said, “Second captain Josh
Stevens found limits of rockfish and some
healthy lings on Saturday, and we will be
fishing combination crab/rockfish trips
or crab-only trips starting in November.
Weekends through November are filled,
but there is room during the week on
selected days. The crab season is popular
in Bodega Bay, and I expect the available
dates to fill up soon.”
The crab opener weekend will bring
RV’s, campers, and tents from throughout
northern California to the Bodega Bay
area, and reservations at the campsites
are a must.

Charter boat anglers are hooking limits of
rockfish and some lingcod at the Farallon
Islands while Chinook fishing is outstanding
on the Marin County Coast..
On October 12, a private charter by the
Bass Tub to the Farallon Islands returned
with limits of a colorful mixed variety of
rockfish and some lingcod.
“We are still running trips while preparing
for crab season,” said Erik Anfinson, captain
of the Bass Tub. “On October 13, we had a
swim trip in the morning and then a half day
salmon trip.”
“We will be getting the gear and boat
ready next week. We have some openings
for our last few trips this month and next
month’s crab trips are starting to sell out!,” he
concluded.
