Salmon Trollers Slay Limits Of
Big Kings!
BERKELEY- Saltwater enthusiasts are
enjoying incredible fishing. Salmon lead the
angling parade at this point with anglers
slamming limits of kings that range up to 30
pounds.
Berkeley’s New Easy Rider, with
Captains Joe and Joey Gallia running the
boat, have nailed limits every day for the
past week and the fish have been running
large. The average salmon goes 8 to 12
pounds on the big fish run 20 to 30 pounds.
Rigged bait teamed with small inline
flashers has been the winning combination.
If you want to put some salmon in the
freezer, now is the time to book a trip on the
New Easy Rider!
Live bait potluck fishing for stripers
and halibut has been amazing for anglers
fishing aboard Berkeley’s Happy Hooker
with Captains Chris and
Jonathan Smith. For
example, one day last
week they put 23 halibut
to 34 pounds into the box
along with 36 bass that
ranged into the teens.
On another recent
outing anglers aboard
the Hooker hammered
23 limits of bass to 20
pounds and added 10
halibut to 18 pounds.
Captain James
Smith’s of the California
Dawn has also been
putting his anglers on
epic live bait action. On
one typical trip last week
anglers scored 25 limits
of bass to 15 pounds
along with 25 halibut to
30 pounds. On another
day Smith’s anglers
wacked 20 limits of bass
to 24 pounds and scored
10 bonus halibut to 30.
