Crappie will bite on a redworm, Crappie Nibble or an Atomic Teaser, advised Shoemaker. For spotted and largemouth bass, use a Berkley plastic worm with a Gamakastu offset shank hook The top colors are watermelon candy and black oil.

RV Lifestyle
The reason the big fall RV show at Cal Expo is described as“ REAL” is because over the years there has been a lot of confusion about what an RV Show represents.
Sure, every time a single dealer or a couple of dealers set up in a parking lot and spend a lot of money on advertising their RV Show, they are actually showing RV’ s. The difference is, they are trying to give the impression of a competitive environment when the truth is they are actually limiting your choices. A REAL RV Show has a third-party promoter that tries to get as many dealers and products as possible, making a truly competitive marketplace where you the consumer has more choices and dealers that must compete for your business.
A REAL RV Show will charge a nominal admission, this is the reason the promoter assembles all the different dealers and offers the seminars etc. And by charging admission and having lots of dealers it spreads out the costs of advertising, insurance, security and rental of the grounds.
At a parking lot show with one or a couple of dealers they have to cover these expenses and there is only ONE way, to charge more for their products. That is why we call it a“ REAL” RV Show because the competition for your business is Real.

with bass relating to deep water and structure across all the area lakes.
“ At Calero and Anderson, you’ re looking for rocky points and fishing fairly deep. In the mornings you can always try tossing a squarebill or some type of reaction bait,” he said.
“ Lots of numbers at Anderson, bigger fish at Calero,” he added.
Anglers in search of crappie were being sent to Calero.“ Minnows and jigs set deep under a bobber during the mornings and evenings will catch a couple. You can also fish worms for some bluegill,” he tipped.
“ A couple guys are checking out catfish at Uvas and Chesbro, but we aren’ t getting many reports. Usually the guys stay quiet anyways.” Dominici related

SHASTA / WHISKEYTOWN LAKE
Downrigger Trollers Prosper
REDDING- Trollers are enjoying very good fishing at both Lake Shasta and Whiskeytown Reservoir.
At Whiskeytown trollers are targeting kokanee in various parts of the lake from 25 to 70 feet deep. Average fish go about 1.5 pounds and the large models pull the scale down to 2 pounds and more.
Orange and pink kokanee lures from Paulina Peak Tackle and Yakima Bait are producing great results. At this point the bite is so good that anglers are limiting while using almost any mainstream kokanee offering in pink or orange colors.
Some folks are running their corn right out of the can, while other are achieving top results by mixing their corn with Pro-Cure Super Gel in the Bloody Tuna flavor.
At Shasta, the rainbows are locked into the thermocline and they are feeding heavily. Anglers dropping shad pattern lures to the 60 foot mark are hooking up to 50 rainbows per day, with top fish stretching measuring tapes to 24 inches.
Fish Sniffer Publisher Paul Kneeland visited Shasta two day ago and enjoyed fantastic action on
