a 3.72 lb. rainbow.
Since the derby, trout fishing continues
to be good for bank anglers and boaters,
reported Taylor at the Bear River Lake
Resort. Anglers are fishing nightcrawlers,
Power Bait and Kastmasters near the
marina and dam. Trollers are working
nightcrawlers, spoons and spinners around
the lake for their rainbows.
The lake is 90 percent full.
Shore fishermen and boaters are also
finding excellent trout fishing at Caples
Lake. “Bank anglers have reported
nailing limits of rainbow while tossing out
worms, PowerBait, Mepps spinners and
Kastmasters,” stated Joe Voss at Caples
Lake Resort. “The best areas are the
Woods Creek inlet, the spillway and the
dam.”
