BRIDGEPORT - “Twin Lakes
have been doing pretty good in the
mornings and evenings, evenings
especially,” reported Jim Reid and
Ken’s Sporting Goods. “Fly and bait
anglers seem to be doing the best
while the trolling has slowed up a
bit.” “There have been some nice fish
up to around 6 pounds being caught
up there too. Fly anglers are using
leech patterns, Twin Lakes specials,
matukas with soft hackle and zug
bug droppers. Bait anglers are doing
well with pinched crawlers, garlic
PowerBait, night crawlers and Mice
Tails,” said Reid.
“ Bridgeport Reservoir is still fishing
very well right now, at least if you’re
out in a boat. The shore fishing has
been pretty slow and the trolling has
tapered off a bit. Fly anglers and
bait anglers are having a great time.
We’ve had several rainbows in the
shop this week over 8 pounds and
several more over 7 pounds. Plus,
there have been lots of fish in the 2 to
6 pound class. We’ve also seen a few
browns up to almost 6 pounds this
week,” reported Reid.
“ In the East Walker channel and
over in Buckeye Bay the fishing has
been great. Baits to use include
PowerBait, night crawlers and Mice
Tails. Flies to try are soft hackles, ice
cream cones, zebra midges, blood
midges and damsel nymphs,” Reid
tipped.
“ The flows on the East Walker are
down to around 250 cfs right now and
the river is still fishing pretty well. The
water temperatures are increasing

On Lampkin’s latest trip, the
