POINTER
“When I am
fishing a frog or
flipping matted
vegetation, I
am throwing the
new X-TCB 8
Carrier Braided
Line form P-Line.
It is critical to
be stealthy with
both techniques,
and with P-line’s
new braid, you
can make longer
casts and it is
ultra quiet com-
ing through the
grass.”

HOT BITES...
1.
AMADOR TROUT… Big, hard fighting trout are
on the chomp at Amador. Grubs work for trollers,
while bank anglers are hooking up with Power Eggs
and PowerBait.
2.
BODEGA COMBOS… Limits of rockfish and
crabs have been the rule for Bodega Bay charter
boaters. Shrimp flies tipped with shrimp or Gulp! or
squid nail the rocks.
3.
DELTA DIAMONDBACKS… Sturgeon are on
the move from Suisun Bay all the way up river
past Rio Vista. Salmon roe and eel are the most
effective baits.
4.
LAKE SHASTA TROUT… Big rainbows and
browns are smacking baits. Work the top 15 feet
with half ounce Mack’s Lure Hum Dingers and other
large spoons for success.
GOOD BETS…
5.
CHABOT TROUT… Bank anglers are hooking
limits of quality rainbows. Dough Baits and
inflated worms are doing the damage for bank
anglers.
IT ALL ADDS UP

GOLDEN GATE LINGS… Anglers departing
East Bay ports are rounding up limits of rockfish,
big lingcod and crab. For lings mooch large frozen
baits off the bottom.
TO MORE FISH IN THE BOAT.
7.
COLLINS LAKE ‘BOWS … The fall trout action
is great at Collins Lake. Bankers are scoring
while soaking standard baits, while trollers pull
Kastmasters.

throughout the Trinity. Boaters rely on back
trolled plugs, while are working with roe, flies, spinners
and spoons.
SLEEPERS…
9.
LAKE CAMANCHE TROUT… Bank anglers
and boaters are rounding up handsome
rainbows. Grubs are the ticket for trollers, while dough
baits work best for the bait crowd.
10.
ROGUE RIVER STEELHEAD… The upper
Rogue is holding catchable numbers of
steelhead. Flies and spinners are the top offerings for
anglers working from the bank.
11.
HALF MOON BAY ROCKFISH… Limits
of rockfish and crab are the rule for charter
anglers. White shrimp flies tipped with Gulp! grubs,
squid strips and frozen anchovies work well.
12.
PYRAMID TROUT… Want a massive 10
plus pound trout? Head to Pyramid. Lahontan
cutthroats to 22 lbs are grabbing spoons, plugs and
