HOT BITES...
1.
GOLDEN GATE KINGS… Big salmon are
hitting for moochers and trollers. For fish to 30
lbs. anglers are working the Ship Channel and Rocky
Point.
2.
SAC RIVER SALMON… The bite isn’t wide-
open, but big 15 to 25 lb. kings are being caught
daily. Plugs work early and roe works throughout the
day.
3.
EAGLE LAKE RAINBOWS… The trout bite is
going strong and it’s only going to get better. Troll
the south basin with worms and Sep’s Grubs for fish
to 3 lbs.
4.
AMADOR PANFISH… Anglers are nailing
quality crappie and bluegill. Minnows are the
ticket for crappie while wax worms and crickets work
well for bluegill.

FORT BRAGG TUNA… An albacore bite has
erupted and fish are being caught with 15 miles
of port. Find the fish while trolling feathers and then
work them with jigs.

WHISKEYTOWN KOKANEE… The bite is still
on for easy limits of salmon that range from 14
to 18 inch. Apex Lures and Wiggle Hoochies are the
top offerings.

AMERICAN RIVER TROUT … Rainbows and
browns are on a good bite in both the middle and
south forks. Worms, Panther Martins and Muddler
Minnows are all working.
8.
DELTA STRIPER TROLLING… The fall run
is heating up and trollers are hooking up to 30
fish per day. For bass up to 11 lbs anglers are pulling
minnow plugs in the San Joaquin.
SLEEPERS…
9.
HALF MOON ROCKFISH… The coastal
rockfish bite for anglers departing from Pillar
Point has been very good. Shrimp flies are procuring
limits along with the occasional lingcod.
10.
SUISUN BAY STURGEON… Late summer
sturgeon hunters are nailing keepers. To tag
a diamond back work deep water areas with roe and
eel.
11.
ALMANOR RAINBOWS… Big rainbows are
rewarding trollers. For fish to 5 pounds pull
Gulp! Minnows, spoons and threaded worms.

CAMANCHE WHISKERFISH … Husky cats
are on the prowl. Use mackerel fillets, liver or
dead bluegill after dark to tempt fish up to 10 lbs.
