Trout fishing in foothill lakes is shifting
into high gear with the arrival of cooler
weather and fall fish plants. One of the
premier destinations to target rainbow
trout from either shore or boat in northern
California is Collins Lake in Yuba County.
Rob Cetinich holds up his 7.92 lb. rainbow
trout that earned him the first place trophy
in the NorCal Trout Anglers Challenge
Tournament of Champions at Collins Lake
on November 2-3. He landed the monster
trout while trolling in the middle of the lake
with Speedy Shiner lures at 30 feet deep.
Fishing with him were his brother, Eric, and
his grandfather, Bob Schmidt.
