January The winter is a superb time for family trout fishing adventures on foothill and urban lakes in northern and central California. Tisha Tinley landed this beautiful 4.56 lb. rainbow trout at Collins Lake on November 3, winning ninth place in the NorCal Trout Anglers Challenge (NTAC) Tournament of Champions at Collins Lake. She was trolling a broken-back Rapala with her family – husband Fred, daughter Tisha and mother Sabrina – when she hooked the hefty rainbow.
