April Trout and kokanee fishing at Lake Pardee was excellent this season until the lake closed to the public, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. When the lake was still open, Jay Xiong of Sacramento won first place in the NorCal Trout Angler’s Challenge event at Pardee on March 14 by catching this 3.46 lb. Lightning Trout while fishing chartreuse Power Bait form shore. He also won big Lightning Trout honors. When the lake reopens to fishing after the current crisis is over, anglers can expect to see top-notch fishing for trout, kokanee, largemouth and smallmouth bass, catfish and other species.
